Trip Overview
The Khopra Danda With Mardi Himal Trek – 14 Days combines two of Nepal's increasingly popular alternative trekking routes into one diverse Himalayan adventure. The journey takes you through traditional Gurung settlements, peaceful forests, alpine meadows, dramatic ridges, and spectacular viewpoints while avoiding many of the busier sections of the classic Annapurna trekking routes.
The first part of the journey explores the Khopra Danda Trek, beginning in the culturally rich village of Ghandruk. The trail passes through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests before reaching Tadapani, Dobato, Chistibung, and eventually Khopra Danda. From the ridge, trekkers can enjoy magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fang, Nilgiri, and surrounding Himalayan peaks.
Khopra Danda is particularly rewarding because of its dramatic location above the Kali Gandaki Valley. The optional excursion toward Kaire Lake provides an opportunity for additional high-altitude exploration, while the peaceful Khopra ridge offers excellent sunrise, sunset, and mountain-view experiences.
After completing the Khopra section, the journey returns toward Pokhara before beginning the Mardi Himal Trek. The route climbs gradually through dense forests to Forest Camp and Low Camp, followed by the increasingly open alpine terrain of High Camp. The trail provides spectacular views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the surrounding peaks.
The Mardi Himal section culminates in an early-morning hike toward the Mardi Himal viewpoint, where the mountain panorama becomes especially impressive. After enjoying the Himalayan scenery, the trail descends through forests and villages toward Siding before returning to Pokhara.
The 14 Days Khopra Danda With Mardi Himal Trek is ideal for travelers who want to experience two distinct Himalayan landscapes in one trip. The combination of moderate-to-challenging trekking, mountain scenery, Gurung culture, forest trails, alpine ridges, and comfortable teahouse stays makes this a memorable alternative to Nepal's more crowded trekking routes.

What our travellers say
“The Manaslu trek is incomparable. It's suitable as a first trek in the Himalayas — plenty of time for acclimatisation and such captivating views that spending time on "altitude sickness" would be a pity. And it's a special pleasure to walk with Krishna. He is a knowledgeable, reliable and brave guide, and a very pleasa…”
