The Ama Dablam Expedition - 30 Days is a high-altitude mountaineering expedition designed for experienced climbers seeking to climb one of Nepal's most recognizable Himalayan peaks.
Ama Dablam rises to 6,812 m and is located in the Everest region of Nepal. The classic Southwest Ridge is a technical climbing route, requiring appropriate mountaineering skills, acclimatization, physical preparation, and experience with high-altitude climbing.
The 30-day program combines the trek from Lukla through the Khumbu Valley with acclimatization, expedition preparation, Base Camp training, climbing rotations, summit attempts, contingency days, and the return journey to Kathmandu.
The exact climbing schedule can change according to weather, rope-fixing conditions, snow and ice conditions, team health, and other mountain factors. Current expedition programs commonly allow several days for acclimatization and summit attempts rather than treating the summit as a fixed-date event.
Lukla Flight Information
Kathmandu to Lukla Flight
The expedition normally begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by trekking through the Khumbu Valley. Flight arrangements can change according to airline operations, weather, and seasonal airport procedures.
Khumbu Ground Transportation
The trekking portion is completed on foot between Lukla, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Pangboche and Ama Dablam Base Camp.
Lukla to Kathmandu Flight
After completing the expedition and descending to Lukla, the team takes a domestic flight back to Kathmandu, subject to weather and flight availability.
Airport Transfers
