Trip Overview
The Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake – 16 Days is an exciting Himalayan adventure combining the classic Annapurna Circuit with a side trip to the spectacular Tilicho Lake. This trek offers an incredible combination of high mountain scenery, diverse landscapes, traditional villages, ancient culture, and challenging high-altitude trails.
The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu toward the lower Annapurna region. As the trail gradually gains elevation, the landscape changes from green hills and terraced farmland to pine forests, alpine meadows, rocky valleys, and snow-covered mountains.
One of the major highlights of the journey is Tilicho Lake, located at approximately 4,919 meters. Surrounded by dramatic Himalayan peaks, the turquoise-blue lake provides one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Annapurna region.
The trek then continues toward Thorong Phedi before crossing the famous Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters. Crossing this high mountain pass is one of the most challenging and rewarding parts of the Annapurna Circuit. From the pass, trekkers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape before descending toward the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath.
The route continues through the beautiful Mustang region, passing through traditional villages such as Kagbeni, Marpha, and Jomsom. The Kali Gandaki Valley provides a dramatic contrast to the greener lower valleys, with dry landscapes and strong Tibetan cultural influences.
The 16 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake is considered a challenging trek because of its long walking days, high altitude, steep sections, and Thorong La Pass crossing. Good physical fitness, proper acclimatization, and preparation are important for completing the trek safely.
Whether you are searching for the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake cost, itinerary, difficulty, permits, best time, or packing list, this 16-day adventure provides an unforgettable opportunity to experience some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Nepal Himalayas.

What our travellers say
“The Manaslu trek is incomparable. It's suitable as a first trek in the Himalayas — plenty of time for acclimatisation and such captivating views that spending time on "altitude sickness" would be a pity. And it's a special pleasure to walk with Krishna. He is a knowledgeable, reliable and brave guide, and a very pleasa…”
